INSIDE BLEU FISH 1. How long will it take? It really depends on the scope of the project, but typically a logo design will take 5-7 days. Web sites on average take 2 weeks. Brochures, company layouts, ad designs, and such will depend largely on the scope of the project, copy provided, any specialized imagery work and such. Our goal is producing for you a quality product within a timely manner. I provide regular updates on my progress and pride myself on being able to meet or exceed your most critical deadline. One thing to keep in mind, it’s best not to wait until the last minute to avoid the possibility of rush charges. I do make every effort to adjust my schedule to accommodate your needs.2. How much will it cost? Every client has a budget in mind, but you may feel apprehensive about revealing it with the idea of being cost-efficient. Price does matter, but it shouldn't be your top criteria. Those who value professional design also understand that the ultimate gains in revenue and exposure outweigh the design investment.
For a general overview of industry averages and my averages, please contact us for a price list. Due to the custom tailoring of each and every design and considering the input of you, the customer, I will work closely with you to stay within your design budget. I typically have pricing available within 24 hours. 3. Why should I use an independent designer instead of a big design firm? Ultimately, it depends on what your needs are. I compare all the different aspects and benefits of both.4. How does the creative process work? After being assigned a project, I schedule information-gathering meetings with you and/or your staff. We discuss your objectives, preferences, target audience, and detailed descriptions of all the user features and benefits of your product. Then I research your industry, audience, and competition and develop one to three concepts for your review. After one is chosen, I produce the final version for approval.
That's a very simplistic overview, but that's the general flow.
5. Can I use my own printer? Yes, but a few words of caution. I do prefer to supervise your project with printers I've had relationships with for years. This ensures the best results, and can sometimes help in avoiding additional fees associated with your job. I base my file preparation on a strict set of specifications, and any requirements set by your printer may incur additional charges.
6. How do you bill? I invoice in thirds. One-third is due at signing, one-third upon approval of the concept, and one-third 30 days after final approval. New clients make an initial 50% deposit and the balance upon final approval. | Visit our Portfolio to view our Latest Projects:
